hello,
I saw in some earlier threads (around February) that some people were looking for second-hand bagpipes. I have two sets for sale: 1. Gillanders McLeod 1989 African blackwood, plain turned, Gore-tex bag, cane reeds, one owner from new (me!); nice-sounding set; 450 pounds (plus P&P) 2. McPherson J Tweedie approx 40 years old, fully combed, imitation ivory mounts, hide bag, original chanter; 650 pounds (plus P&P) If anyone is interested, please contact me. I'm based in Edinburgh, Scotland. nick |

Hello again!
Thanks for your info and your question re the cost of new pipes. Depending on decoration and finish, they can range from 500 to 2,500 pounds. I have heard of an eccentric, wealthy doctor in Aberdeen spending 10,000 pounds on a complete silver set... Regards, Nick |
