wilsonmary20,
No need to get offended. bell's point is a valid one. I've just read through the thread and it doesn't seem that you've arranged your lodging yet. All bell is saying is that arranging where you'll live should have higher priority than Internet and telephone service.
If your living arrangements are all set, them I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding.

Best of luck!

Thumbs up Sayings-'pre-warned' is pre-armed'

Finding out as much as possible, (which is only sensible), when you still have the time on your side-!!!

Once we arrive there, it will be all about setting ourselves up with all of these other necessities like Dr's Etc. We do know where we are intending to settle.!!

So take a wee dram laddie--(billy_is_not_my_name) & chill out.
'I' just didn't think these comments were at all necessary on this
HELPFUL Web-site. Most of the Forum Members are really helpful, which is very much appreciated.!!! wilsonmary20

Erm, okay...
Anyways, in response to your Internet/telephone package question, I've found these options:

PlusNet offers broadband and telephone service combined for a price of 20.99 a month.
ntl's telephone/broadband plan starts at 24.99 a month.

Here are some reviews of PlusNet's service. And some reviews of ntl.

A quick question: do you want broadband (which is what the plans above have) or the slower dial-up?

I have to say that Bell-the-cat's comments were not really needed and I don't think that bell
would have meant the thread to be taken in anyway wrongly !!

I also think that Mary know's that they are not the most paramount questions for her but in
her situation she has to cover all her bases in a short time and while she is waiting for other
information to come in she would want to find out some of the more un-important one's.

So come on Mary ask away even if it seems a strange question to ask !!

Many Thanks Babz

Being so far away from 'Home' plus our present situation here, is causing me to feel very vulnerable.
Going thru' all of this unsettling business, like sending our Scottish made furniture to these Auction Rooms.
But what has to be done, has to be also accepted.!!!
After all is said & done these are only possessions.!!!
Obviously, I am trying to give myself something else to think about too.!!!
So bear with me, while our situation is unstable.
Husband's health is always a worry, being a cancer patient.

I thought that I had grown a thicker skin, since living here, but obviously haven't-as yet.!!! wilsonmary20
