Ah I think you'll be thwarted there too, you won't have any claim to Irish citizenship through great grandparents and the same situation with regards to visas etc applies in Ireland as well. Sorry dude.

first of all the irish are quite flexible to persons applying for citezenship the rules arent set in concrete, like in britian ( funny how some canadians have trouble getting a british passport but abu hamaza has no problem along with the rest of his fellow fanatic muslim terrorists ).

second i dont belive being born in a country make you scottish, german , french, irish or whatever, nor do i belive it is what country you parents are from.
i do belive it is what culture and society you WERE BROUGHT UP IN,
if i was born in scotland and moved to america when i was 3,4,5 and lived there for 15,20 years or so i would be american as i had assimilated their culture and society.
i was born in scotland that doesnt make me scottish, i am scottish because i was brought up in scotland with scottish people, society, beliefs and culture.

my yonger brother was born in saudi arabia, he moved over here 2 years lter is he arabic no he is scottish

Just out of curiosity because my Grandmother was Irish I had a look at the Irish passport website and it states "You must be an Irish citizen in order to be eligible for an Irish passport." So the rules for issuing passports seem quite stringent to me.

I was born in saudi arabia(I was born abroad) in tabuk. while my mom was nursing or w/e. that's so cool. I don' know too much about saudi arabia but I know basic stuff. I kind of really dislike that country..

But yeah well I would apply for citizen ship If i could. b4 i went for a passport.
