What are you reading just now? Or if you're not in the middle of a book; what were the last ones you read?

Right now I'm reading "The Motorcycle Diaries" by Che Guevara. Pretty good, not as political as I first thought it would be, just a story of him and a friend travelling the length and breadth of South America on a bike long before he got fully involved in politics.

Now as I was working in security for an entire week (I've got two weeks off college just now), I've been reading like a demon. This week I've started and finished:
  • "The Complete McAuslan" by Gerge MacDonald Fraser
"Quartered Safe Out Here" by George MacDonald Fraser
    "Shanghai Baby" by Wei Hui
    "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murikami
"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley
I'd recommend "Norwegian Wood" to anyone. At it's heart it's a love story, but it's enthralling and reads like a biography of one mans life growing up in Japan in the '60s.

If anyone wants to have a laugh as well as educate themselves on the Scottish military scene; "The Complete McAuslan" is the book for you. This is a slightly fictionalised account of the authors time as an officer in the Gordon Highlanders.
His accounting of his time in WWII in Burma, "Quartered Safe Out Here", is also fascinating and full of the military humour I love.

Mata ne, Karasu.

Currently reading Anne McCaffrey's "Acorn's People",
but will probably finish that today and go one to a funny series again by John DeChancie, 'Starrigger'.

Currently reading
-->The First King of Shannara by Terry Brooks
-->Drawing Down the Moon by Margaret Adler

I can never just read one book at a time -l-

What do you all think of Books on Tape (CD)?
Nothing beats a good reading session, but I also love to listen to my books while I'm trying to fall asleep. Currently I'm listening to Terry Goodkind's Blood of the Fold.

Just finished :
--->Murder at Witches Bluff by Silver RavenWolf ( which I loved! )
---> The So You Want to be a Wizard Series by Diane Duan
