'Whose Turn For The Stairs' by Robert Douglas
I've just read the first novel from this popular author (you may have read 'Night Song of the Last Tram', his Glasgow autobiography).
This book tells the stories of the 12 families living up a close in Maryhill in 1949 and is hilarious (great Glasgow patter), dramatic and quite moving. A great read. BB |
