For those who are major fans of the UK made sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf the news is it's finally returning to TV.

The show has been resurrected by the Digital TV channel Dave & Dave+1 for a two-part Easter Weekend Special ( Sat 11th & 12th April 2009 ) which sees the cast finally return to Earth.

written and directed by Doug Naylor the new show reunites the entire cast.

It's been a decade since cult sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf which means to a fan like me it's good news they have just wrapped up making a new two-parter to be screened this April.

This time,the hapless foursome finally get to Earth but,though lips are sealed when it comes to the plot Chris Barrie has hinted at the calamities facing his ever-weasely hologram rimmer.'He's quite sad in this one'.He comes across someone who wants to terminate him in a rather final kind of way.

Barrie is as pleased as punch at Dwarf's return: This could be the beginning of the rekindling of our adventures.After 14 days of filming, it felt like the years melted away.

Red Dwarf: Back to Earth is on Dave April 10th.
