Braveheart?

Is Braveheart and accurate portrayal of Scottish culture. I love the movie to death, adn Mel plays a great William Wallace, but is the Scottish culture proud of such a movie?

It's full of inaccuracies, right down to the white van in the background of one of the scenes!

This is a romantic version of what the film makers thought would sell a picture... Mel Gibson was good at playing his part but it was mostly fiction and not fact....
