not every one likes the same flower

I did not expect all to enjoy her books,I was merely making conversation and suggesting an author that I enjoy. It seems no one here can respond positively even if they do not agree with my opinion. Can such a post not create an outlet to suggest other authors and discussion of their books,Oneofthefew was the only one to do so.Is that not what these forums are for.

You are asking us to comment on an author you like. Those who have replied don't like the author. What's to discuss?

Now, if you want to talk about current SCOTTISH writing - try, Iain Banks (aka Ian Banks), Ian Rankin, Aline Templeton, Paul Johnston and many others.

Now they ARE writers!

Christopher Brookmyre. Though non-Scots might struggle to cope with all his little puns and in-jokes...
