Scottish Detective Stories

Hello. I am still doing research on Scottish culture. I'd like to know, what Scottish detective stories and novels are people reading, and what books would you reccommend?

Yes- I do.

I read all that info you guys posted on Scottish gangs.

I've read your suggestions and others suggestions on movies to watch.

When I get the chance I will watch those movies.

Scottish Detective stories

What about the books
Laidlaw (1977); The Papers of Tony Veitch (1983) and Strange Loyalties (1991)?

Are these worth picking up?
