In the spirit of lightening up and brightening up:
Who is your favorite Scottish actor? Mine is Robert Carlyle. To see the extent of my addiction, check this out: www.geocities.com/lexyplex/index.html I also like Robbie Coltrane, Peter Mullan, John Hannah when he was in Sliding Doors and Four Weddings and a Funeral, and the hilarious and wonderful Billy Connolly. Anyone else have an A-List? What about actresses? I have to be honest i dont know any by name. I could play the whole, "That one chick in that one movie, whatsherface" game, but I'll open the floor to others for this. Crazy thing: I think all of these men were born in Glasgow! Lookin' good boys, lookin' good. [This message has been edited by Alexis_US (edited 12 August 2000).] |

I can agree with you on Peter Mullen & Robert Carlyle... Carlyle is brilliant as a psychopath! I also really like Peter Capaldi (the barman in The Blythswood Bar in Glasgow looks just like him!), Joe McFadden (verrrry sweet!) & Bill Paterson.
As for actresses, i quite like Valerie Edmond at the moment, but Annette Crosbie has always been a favourite. [This message has been edited by T-bird (edited 02 August 2000).] |

How about Craig Ferguson? I just saw him in "Saving Grace." HiLARious movie.
And I finally thought of a female, Kelly MacDonald. She was the schoolgirl in Trainspotting and the girl who is poisened in Elizabeth. She's good. |

How about Shirley Henderson, Spud's girlfriend in "Trainspotting"?

Yeah, Sonsie. Shirley Henderson is good. I saw her in Topsy-Turvy, very interesting character actress. Funny, I don't remember her in Trainspotting.
A few more: Gary Lewis and Louise Goodall, both of whom were in Carla's Song and My Name is Joe, two great Ken Loach films. ------------------ "A celebrity is someone who you'd like to get drunk with or have sex with that is better looking than anyone in your community." ---John Waters |
