Here's a list I adapted from the one on Wikipedia. Can't say that I recognise too many of the names though, and the list is somewhat incomplete. They did not, for example, have Rona Anderson on it, and she appeared in quite a few films (as well as on the stage) in the 50s and 60s.

Don't forget Dame Peggy Ashcroft. Her performance in the 39 Steps as John Laurie's wife is worth induction into the "Bonnie Hall of Fame" as an honorary Scot

Joanne Whalley is equally 'praiseworthy' for he role as Liam Neeson's wife in The Big Man.
