Lithgae and Polwarth, I didn't say all my Scottish characters were going to wear tartan clothing. You're singling out one group of characters.
My main characters are form the US. There are dozens of charcers I'm creatring that dwell in the US and in other countries.
I have maybe one or two Scottish characters that dress in tartan leggings or pants.
Some of my West Indian characers, for example, wear gold leg bands.
Is that offensive to you?

Why is wearing tartan, or plaid clothing offensive to you, if the Bay City Rollers did it?

For some strange reason, some people found the Bay City Rollers offensive. Not me.

You also might want to consider having your characters paint half their face blue, as many Scots do that.(Although the Bay City Rollers did not).

Where is Bay City? Michigan, U.S.A.
