I have been watching this thread closely the last week
and it seems to be to be straying away from the title
which if you have forgotten is...........................

Favourite Scottish Actor

Please get it back on track !!

Pettiness is something that we do not look nicely on in
this site !!

P.S. Before anyone comments I have put the UK spelling
of Favourite in...lollol

Looks like nobody has mentioned the one and only Ken Stott. Edinburgh's finest ( and that INCLUDES Shir Sean)

What I don't understand is how people can be so callous and insensitive about an issue like where a person's mother is from and how they were brought up.

I see that you took my post personally but it was not just meant for you but
for all who were involved.

Its the type of things moderators do, we also try and keep threads on topic and if that means we have to ask members to do so we will, even if it is not our forum as we help others out

I admit that I have used offensive language at times, but I did not know I was speaking to women and I really did feel like people were deliberately trying to offend me and so I struck back. Of course no good has come of it. We don't need to be friends.

Offensive language is something that is frowned on but I do have to say I have seen worse than you said in here before !!

I will say this. Next time some foreigner comes on here with the mistaken opinion that they are Scottish because that is what their mother and father brought them up believing, think about who you might be talking to, and try showing the stranger a little kindness.

To many of the Scots in here I am classed as a foreigner as I was not born there but do have Scottish Parents and therefore I claim my fathers
nationality, I just laugh off their comments.

If you can find some of my other posts on a serious vein you will see that I try and treat all members the same, taking sides is not a very good thing.

I can't tell you where to find some as I have done so many posts in my time here...lololololol

PS Don't feel you have to leave at the first hurdle, it happens and people move on and make friends in here !!

Thanks Babz. Sorry. I'll begin again.

There is a movie being filmed called 'The Last King of Scotland' based on the book by Giles Foden. I intend to see it because Forest Wittaker is playing Idi Amin and its a new type of role for him and he is a truly gifted actor. Anyhow, I haven't read the book but it sounds interesting. The role of the Scottish doctor is being played by the Scottish Actor, James McAvoy. I haven't seen him yet, so how can he be my favourite? But after this one and 'Burns' he might be! I see he has played a LOT of roles just in the past five years. Must be a hard worker. So I will go out on a limb.

Favourite Scottish Actor I Haven't Seen - James McAvoy.
