I fell in love with Sean when I was a wee girl I saw him in a movie called "Darby O'Gill and the Little People"
If anyone hears of a copy of that I would love to have it.
He was also verry good in another early movie called "The Hill"
It would still stand up today. In fact someone out there should try a remake. Brutalisation in the army is stiil happening.
My kids love him in "The Man Who Would be King"

I wonder if because he never really served his time as a stage actor he decided the accents were not his forte.

So many actors find it quite difficult to be convincing.

How many times have you heard a really lousy scots accent in Hollywood movies?

Ewan is smashin. He doesn't play about much with his accent either.

I loved "Moulin"

I was lucky to have seen Duncan Mc'crae play Widow Twanky and another old great would be Findlay Currie.

Brian Cox is super has a great range as has Bobby Carlye and Sandy Morton,(a real favourite), currenly a lead in "Monarch"

Billy Connolly wrote a couple of plays back in the 70's which had a smashin cast including Sandy Morton, Billy Patterson and Alex Norton.

Andy Gray was superb, as was Sandy Morton,(see what I mean) in the Slab boys trilogy by John Byrne and he,Andy, was unforgetable as Chancer.

Pyllis Logan and Caroline Patterson are both good actors particularly Caroline.

All these actors except maybe Sean "served their time" on the boards.

I love going to the movies and I am really looking forward to seeing the new Harry Potter on an Imax. ( never seen an Imax film ) but I have to say that theatre has a very special magic for me. I just don't get there any more.

Can anyone imagine any one else playing Hagrid?

Celia Imrie is good as is Elaine c Smith and she can sing too.
I must admit I'm not a great fan of John Hannah. He just doesn't look comfortable to me in his roles unlike Peter Mullen who seems quite passionate about his.

My favorite Scottish actor is Sean Connery. Followed closely by Ewan McGregor.

My favorite Scottish actress is Laura Fraser. She was the blacksmith in A Knight's Tale, and has been in a lot of other films.

Most of all: Sean Connery. Billy Connolly was great in "Mrs. Brown" and really hilarious in "The man who sued god". Also I like Billy Boyd as Pippin.

Ewan....

It's all about Ewan McGregor! Not only is he an amazing actor and singer, but he's totally and completely hot! I didn't used to think he was that good-looking until I saw "Moulin Rouge". Mmmm.... Then I saw "Down With Love" and I was hooked!
