My Husband didn't get me a card for Valentine's Day! Instead he wrote this poem the day after. That would be February 15th. He wrote it because he hurt my feeling soooooo bad.
Anyway here it is. I guess I will forgive him after all. However!
I shall send out a notice several days in advance of the holiday next year!

If love is the question, then what shall we answer?

Who shall qualify?

Would love be more valid by the schedules of men, than by happen stance?

If so, who then would be so esteemed by all to set forth this time of love?

It is said by some that love is in the air. I submit that it is not; but in the heart where love is born and validated.

This is true love unchained to schedules of men, uncheapened by obliged gifts or false motive.

The love I have for you my dear wife, cannot be quantified by gifts of great value or paper cards.

I cannot place a value on my love for you because even the finest gold, the brightest diamonds or the softest fabric or the sweetest candies would be an insult to your importance to me.

My love for you can't be scheduled for it is constant and forever.

Love is shared heart to heart.
It can't always be seen, like air, but you know it's there. Even beautiful flowers don't bloom everyday.

That's what makes it exciting, the anticipation of the next opening of the petals is no less rewarding because we don't see it everyday.

Nor can we hold the beauty of the flower in contempt for not blooming to a schedule.

Love
Jeffrey (Arnold)

Ok I admit I felt a bit of a twinge there Jeff. But sweetie, a card on Valentines Day is a nice touch. OK? (I know your reading this!)
