I don't think so. My father is a huge Emerson fan, and I think he said something about him being English-y, maybe Brittish. I don't think he's Scottish. I could be wrong, though.
Here's an interesting little fact. My dad, strange as it may sound, named his Dashound after the man. Weird?

Hi guys.
I'm pretty sure he was born in Boston, I don't know if his parents were Scottish...but I think the states get credit for him .
