OK here are 3 books I have read recently that were really good.

The Time Traveler's Wife - by Audrey Neffenegger - about a man that has a genetic disorder which allows him to travel back and forth in time (but only with the span of his life) - the story follows his wife's life from her childhood (where he travels back in time to meet her as a child) to their married life. It's really good - made me cry in places - it's a little bit like Outlander - but it's not set in Scotland and it's in present time.

Daughter of Fortune: A Novel - by Isobel Allende - it covers the life of a girl living in colonial Chile - it chronicles her life in Chile and later on in California during the gold rush of 1849. Basically it's a historical romance with a good plot - I read this one on the plane between Dallas and DC (and back) - couldn't put it down.

What a Girl Wnats - Kristen Billerbeck - this book is a totally different genre than the other two - I guess it would be considered "chic-lit" - it's actually a "christian fiction" book - although (thankfully) the church aspect of it doesnt bore or interfere with the story - it's about a 30 year old successful single woman who relizes she's in love with her best friend - it's just a funny, fun book - I guess I like it since I identify with the main character.

PS - I don't check this site very much anymore - I don't know if these have already been discussed or not. I just thought I'd put in my 2 cents since I've gotten some good book suggestions from people on this forum in the past.

Here's another good book ... read this one this weekend

Called "The Lovely Bones" - can't remember who wrote it - it's about a teenage girl that is murdered and she watches her family deal with the tragedy from heaven - it's a tear jerker.

Also, I've been reading some books by a guy n amed Vince Flynn - his stuff is in the same genre as Tom Clancy and very good - political thrillers/ military adventure - stuff like that - good books
