Imagine if you will:
A man sits, somewhere on the west coast of scotland.
He sees the weather approaching, and sings a song of long distance love as he strums random but heartfelt chords on his guitar:

The Storm

I'm looking out, across the water
Waves are rolling in
My thoughts turn to you, on some foreign shore
And I wonder what you're doing
Are you thinking of me, like I'm thinking now of you ?
Or in the busy-ness of your life
Have you got more important things to do ?

I'm missing you now,
I miss your words, I miss your touch
I'm missing you now
I never thought that it could hurt this much

I'm looking out, across the water
Clouds go drifting by
My minds eye sees you, as you go walking
underneath your clear blue sky
Is your life so well organised, that you don't have the time to feel alone ?
Or is there emptiness there, making you wish
that you could just come home ?

I'm missing you now,
I miss your touch, I miss your smile
I'm missing you now,
And it's gonna hurt for more than just a little while
I'm missing you now, I'm missing you now

I'm looking out, across the water
Rain begins to fall
I think of your life, and I wonder
Is there room for me in there at all ?
Should we ever be together, or are we "meant" to stay apart?
But know whatever happens, I will always have
A place for you inside my heart.

I'm missing you now,
I miss your smile, I miss your words
I'm missing you now
There's no medicine to deal with these hurts
I'm missing you now, I'm missing you now

I'm looking out,
acrosss the water

The storm,
has passed
me
by.

Now you owe me a box of tissues! What a very beautiful poem. I'm feeling that way right now. Thank you Andrew.
