I don't know how old you are - but some of those questions appear slightly offensive to me - as if we may not be a civilised country at all!
1 - the meal patterns are the same as most western countries - ie breakast, lunch and dinner or supper in the evenings. Traditionally lunch was the main meal of the day, but nowadays may consist of a sandwich at your desk. In most homes I suspect the main meal of the day would be the evening meal - either 'tea' 'supper' or 'dinner', depending on what your family calls that main meal! In my home it is me - my husband is useless at cooking - and I love to cook. In my grown up daughter's home it is her partner, as he is a better cook than she is. I have no idea what you are asking about traditions - if you are American or Canadian - your food traditions are based mainly on British ones, I believe. As for the kitchens question... well, put it this way, we don't cook huge vats of porridge on open peat fires any more.

Nawww, you didn't really 'offend'...
![]() It's just that as most Ozzies will have come from a UK background (or more latterly a European one!) your homes are in the main designed like ours! Think modern kitchens in most homes! All mod cons ![]() PS Go and have a look in the Cuisine forum here, there are lots of Scottish recipes and info about food traditions etc! |
