I read on Empire Online yesterday that they are shooting a remake of The Wicker Man this summer. Nicholas Cage is going to be in it. It looks like it will not be shot in Scotland but in Maine. It was a superb film I wonder if the remake will be any good.

Hmm, I wonder too. I fear a remake jsut won't match the original, but what would I know.

Still, the inclusion of Nicholas Cage is a good sign, I think.

Unhappy

Hardly surprising that the screenplay has been re-written and will now feature a matriarchal society descended from the Pilgrims in America.

Just aswell really..... Nicholas Cage with a Scottish accent.... oh dear!

Nicholas Cage with a Scottish accent... Shudder! LOL I can't even imagine that working!

He was good in Captian Corelli's Mandolin and receintly in National Treasure but he's not one I flock to the cinema to see..... These are in fact the only two films I have seen him in that I enjoyed.

I will have to see his The Wicker Man now and see what I think!
