My friends and I were entertained by White Noise. It's not a scary movie but there are a few times that I jumped.

I think Robert DiNero's new movie, Hide and Seek with Dakota Fanning looks really good and like it could be pretty creepy too.

The Exorcist was deeply disturbing and quite chilling and so was the exorcist three the one with George C Scott (You know General patton)

However an old war film called "The Keep" made quite compelling viewing.

The Shinning

Not just because it's scary but it has a whole creepieness factor to it that kind makes you think it could really happen.

I agree, the Shining was good but Children of the Corn, Rosemary's Baby, Dracula (Grizzly-scared my children, it is a story of a killer Giant Grizzly bear...it came out not long after Jaws and a friend of mine who did alot of work in the bush went round his house one night chanting to himself..."there are no bears with sharks teeth...there are no...." lol! He had trouble sleeping in the wild for awhile......) and The Burning are all old classics and my favorite next to Children of the Corn is Stephen King's Salem's Lot. To this day I feel that is the creepiest book I ever read...the movie didn't do it justice. The Thing and It were awful too and Halloween...all of them....
