The Hobbit...

Wow !
How did I miss that ?

Thatīs great news !!!

I agree with Patty about the Silmarillion, but I doubt it would be possible to make a film of it...

But I hope Peter jackson will give it a try !

It is (in my opinion) Tolkiens greatest work.

hi^^

yeah Silmarillion is probably impossible to show.... it's too beautiful, and there are many stories. it should be rather a serie...

and about "The Hobbit" movie... my also hear that in one interview PJ told he WON'T do "The Hobbit"... so... did he change his mind? I hope so

From another thread that is what they are saying but I also have to agree with you the Silmarillion is his greatest work!
I wouldn't mind if they made it into a series! Just more fantasy magic to watch!
I also that he wasn't going to make the Hobbit but it would be fun to go and see it.

everything has been quite controversial around the making of the Hobbit... we have time to see what is going to happen, but they have started that's for sure.
i can't wait for ROTK.
here in france, i'm organising a LOTR party on the 26th august because the dvd of the Two Towers is coming out ! i went to the movies to see it again not even a month ago
i agree that the Silmarillion is so complicated that it would be very difficult to film.
PJ is a hero to have done such a good job, as it was said in the trailers, The Legends Comes True !
if i can't live in scotland i wanna go living in Lothlorien

I have to agree with you if I can't live in Scotland then take me to Lothlorien or even Rivendell.
