Dogma is with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Salma Hayek... and Alanis Morrissette as GOD (!)
Itīs about two fallen angels trying to get back into heaven, threatening the whole creation to be undone...

So one descendant of Jesus battles them together with the 13th Apostle, who was deleted from the bible because he was black (LOL) and two prophets...

That filmīs really funny !
Oops! Shows you how much I was paying attention! I like Ben Afleck a lot. Think he is a great actor, easy on the eyes too! lol Not into Matt Damon though. I don't think he is that great of an actor. Salma Hayek, well, I would think men would really like her as she is pretty beautiful!

You gotta watch Snatch Dirk! you would crack up!

Wow! I have never heard of that movie with Affleck and Damon at all! I am ashamed of myself. I usually pride myself for knowing all films...Lol

SNATCH is a movie made by Guy Ritchie (Madonna's husband) and it is about an Irish tinker (gypsy) "fighter" who nobody can understand. It is hysterically funny. Well at least I thought so. It came out a couple of years ago. I want to buy this movie, I love it so much! lol!

Snatch is great. Fantastic twist at the end. For gypsy/tinker(?) substitute Pikey. Fantastic dialogue. And I think you'll find that Madonna is actually Guy Ritchies wife, not the other way round.
Dogma is also one of my favourite films, and I love to use it to wind up the loons on the religion and phylosophy page.
I saw Black Hawk Down the other day. It's a few years old now, but it's great. It's all about Delta Force and the Rangers going into Mogadishu in Somalia to try and overthrow Adid (sp?). Based on 'actual events' so it claims. I wonder how that differs from 'true story'. Gets a particularly good reference here, because it stars Ewen McGregor and the chap who plays Spud in Trainspotting, whose name escapes me at te moment.
Anyway, another film I love, and watch religiously once a month is The Usual Suspects. I watched it just last Saturday and I will probably watch it again some time soon. Spacey is ace as is Gabriel Burn. And some of the lines from that movie are wicked. 'The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he didn't exist.' Now that's cool.

I have seen the Ring in both the American and Jap version, but sorry but I prefer the American version. The Jap version was a little bit weird for me, and the American was scarier I think.
Desert-Rose, you haven't seen the second Lord of the Rings yet? Shame on you!! ha ha well don't worry it isn't on dvd yet, and if you plan on buying them wait until the extended version comes out, they added all the deleted parts and stuff, it is so much better and makes more sense. I have seen Snatch and Brad Pitt is amazing!! And you have to see phonebooth, it isn't boring at all...lets just say, it really makes you think about that next phone call. haha

Hi there Sharp Kid! Welcome to our thread! I am glad somebody else loves Snatch besides me! Funny, cause I just saw Black Hawk Down the other night for the first time. I loved Josh Hartnett and Sam Shepherd. Somehow silly me missed Ewan MacGregor -- can you believe that? He is one of my favorite actors! But the film itself was too much battle scenes for me. I found myself getting bored after awhile. haven't seen Usual Suspects yet. Will put that on my list! LOVE Gabriel Byrne! I had forgotten about him and I am so ashamed! Kevin Spacey is truly great too. Loved K-Pax!

Happy viewing you all!

Hey! Bubleduck! My plan is to buy all three Lord of the Rings movies and watch them as much as I can!....lol I am ashamed that I have not see the second one yet, but I just hate theatres! Only Jason Patric, my favorite actor, can get me to the theatre!...lol Aren't I bad?

Okay, I will rent Phonebooth. Sounds like a must see film, especially if it has Colin Farrel in it!

Anybody seen Insomnia or the Recruit. Both great films!
