Hi ladies- I haven't been here for I don't know how ling....you need to read Janet Chapman, she's got a highlander series going- great stuff. And I just love Karen Moning too- she's got another one coming out this month- "Into the Dreaming". And if I ever find the right guy to get married to I'm going to use those vows in my wedding....they give me goose bumps.

Karen Marie Moning I've read but I don't know Janet Chapman's stuff. Can you compare her to anyone? Is she closer to Diana Gabaldon, or Karen Marie Moning, or completely different then both of them?

The stories take place in present time, the premis is that a wizard knew who the laird was supposed to fall in love with, but she was in the future. While casting his spell during a bad storm, a rival clan came and about 15 of both clans started fighting...well the entire group ended up in modern day Maine including the wizard...the books are the storys of several of them, including their children down thru the years...

Not as dark as Karen Moning, nor as 'deep' as Gabaldon.
