Evidently this is a kids cartoon movie about a pet gold fish that escapes it's bowl through the toilet and has an adventure in the sea.

Now American kids are setting their pet fish free by flushing them so they can have an adventure in the ocean too.... It was on the News this evening.

LOL That's hysterical! If you haven't seen "Finding Nemo" then you really should. It's so cute! It made me kind of sad to hear the way you described it...as a fish getting flushed down the toilet so that it can have an adventure.

Actually, little Nemo is kidnapped by a diver who is planning to give Nemo to his neice Darla for her birthday. Until Darla arrives Nemo is placed in a tank with other fish who help to plot his escape so that he won't meet the fate of all Darla's other fish...the "flush".

All throughout the movie Nemo's dad (who is terrified of the open ocean) overcomes his fears and searches for his son with the help of a forgetful, but well-meaning sidekick.

Anyway, I'm 19 and I laughed just as hard as my 9-year-old sister. It's really enjoyable.

Flushing 'Nemo'

Friday, June 6, 2003 Posted: 10:36 AM EDT (1436 GMT)

COSTA MESA, California (AP) -- Kids be warned: Flushing your pet fish down the drain will not send it safely into the ocean as depicted in the new computer-animated movie by Disney and Pixar "Finding Nemo."

A company that manufactures equipment used to process sewage issued a news release Thursday warning that drain pipes do lead to the ocean -- eventually -- but first the fluid goes through powerful machines that "shred solids into tiny particles."

"In truth, no one would ever find Nemo and the movie would be called 'Grinding Nemo,"' wrote the JWC Environmental company, which makes the trademarked "Muffin Monster" shredding pumps.

In the unlikely event Nemo survived the deadly machines, the company added, he would probably be killed by the chlorine disinfection.
