I have deleted the post you made in the Arabian Nights thread, at the request of many members, as it is basically a read only thread. Should you wish to start a thread that will generate comments about the Arabian Nights stories, I am sure many Scots as well as Non Scots would be happy to visit there.

I am sure you will agree that not all good literature has been written by JUST those of Scottish descent and everyone is entitled to read and enjoy what ever is written in this ole world by anyone of any nationality.

This forum is certianly not limited to Scottish lit. If it were, it would be lacking.

If you have any questions regarding this move, please feel free to contact me by clicking the e-mail link below. Thank you.

Well… the horse is not beaten dead!

SDouglas:

I have several versions of what went on in my thread all, I must say, unsatisfactory. And since you are responsible for it and I am the author of the thread, I would like to hear your version of the story.

A reply to this thread would be the most appropriate in my opinion since it is Literature related and very much on topic.

I already have heard from the moderator and all parts involved but you.

"I would like to hear your version of the story" says Ulrikke.

Would you, indeed?

I've often been accused of being somewhat sanguinary in my approach to argument. Even when I *know* that no satisfactory resolution of differences of opinion is achievable, I will often still plug away, making my points usually until one or all of the parties involved get bored, or decline to participate further.

Now, in this case, kathyv, as moderator, has intervened and we a had brief and courteous exchange of messages. If she wishes to divulge the content of that exchange she may, but I choose not to.

I'm not aware of any "story" or indeed versions of it. My contributions, unwelcome as they obviously were, to "your" Arabian Nights thread have been removed. The thread is not one which interests me, but then neither do chrysanthemums, and just as I follow my disinclination to become absorbed in chrysanthemums (wonder if it should be "chrysanthema"? - oh no, wait, I don't care...) by not growing them, buying them or reading about them, so I will continue to proactively not bother about the Arabian Nights thread. Thanks for asking, though...

All the best....

No interest SDouglas?

If I did not have an interest in chrysanthemums I would simply stay away from the topic. Since you replied to the Arabian Nights that hinted an 'interest' in it. And then again when your 'interest' led to the rearrangement of the thread – without the author been consulted to boot. Unless of course you 'contributed' there as a flamer!
