Well.. I donīt need to say all the inaccuracies... I am sure that everyone knows now... But I think that the film is interesting if it can start discussions...

Many people around the world didnītknow nothing about Scotland and many saw the film and decided to look for more information...

Freedom

I loved it and I love Mel Gibson. I think he did a great job of arousing the beating heart that is and always will be Scotland...do we really care if it was a little hollywood or a lot hollywood, it was GREAT!
Scotland tourism board loved it too and people like me are going back in part because it aroused our love of the land.

I understand what Hollywood did for tourism here (a lot more than they did for the understanding of Wallace himself), but I feel that this groteque statue shouldn't be there - and the fact it needs to be protected from the adoring public suggests other people maybe aren't too happy with it either as Mel gets caged up every night

Yes, other than Passion of the Christ-this was Gibson's second best film.

Second best film? Better than all the Mad Max or Lethal Weapon movies? At least they never distorted history to make some people rich!

As for Mel getting caged up every night, I believe that monstrosity of a statue has finally been removed - and hopefully turned to rubble!
