Who likes Japanese Anime?

I am a fan of Japanese anime and have been for some time. What is your favorite kind of anime? Would you recommend it?

i don't know much about japanese anime, but one of my very favorite animators is hayao miyazaki (my neighbor totoro, princess mononoke). which japanese animated films do you like?

My favorite anime has to be either Samurai X or Ruroni Kenchin. I don't really care for Gundam Wing (the old ones anyway). I'm pretty into the historical anime that has a lot of action and gore (hehehehe). But I did enjoy Princess Mononoke. The newest anime I watched was from a friend's Dad who lives in the U.S. but frequently travels to Japan and picks up anime while he's there. It was called Ghost in the Shell it was pretty cool but a little too graphic. Hayao Miyazaki is a really great animator too! Bye for now.

Hi! I'm also a big anime fan.
I really enjoyed Princess Mononoke..fantastic movie.
But I also like the funny ones e.g. Ranma, Oh!My Goddess....

Archangel I saw Ghost in a Shell a few years ago; I don't remember all the details, but is was a very powerful film...even though I didn't understand all of the political story arc; it was a bit confusing

My roomate watches Anime all hours of the night. I think I'm learning Japanese subliminally . Anyway, some of it is very high creativity and artistry. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the Japanese see Christianity a lot like we see Greek mythology: fascinating and good material for stories. There are tons of movies and series' about vampires with tons of Christian references in them. In one series, one vampire slayer has knives blessed by The Pope, another has a gun that shoots bullets which were melted down from silver crosses, and my favorite, the pages of scripture, if thrown at a vampire, will bind him to the ground. It just seems so odd to me, since I take this sort of thing seriously.

i really enjoy anime... i don't know if it is my fav style but it is near the top of the list.

I just found out that My neighbor Tatoro is coming out on Dec 2nd on DVD finally.YEAH!! that is one of my favs.

Miyazaki's films are typical for people to like here.. Don't get me wrong I like them but its not the best Anime I've ever seen.

I love Azumanga Daioh, its just so random and crazy.

I'm not a real huge fan of anime, I've seen a few things here and there, I prefer Japanese Dramas..
