I was just wondering if there were any Monty Python fans in here.

Yep! Hiya! Don't mention the war! (That was from Fawlty Towers, hehehehe!) They're too funny! Well, I like them.

I haven't seen much of the Fawlty Towers, but hopefully I will get to see them all! I love the Pythons, and I try to see everything they have done outside of Flying Circus.

Got the "Complete Fawlty Towers" as book, but you can't read it in the underground (same with Flann O'Brian!!!! or listening to the Billy Conolly tapes on walkman) for people are most likely to call a doctor when you burst out laughing all the time...

Monty Python and Billy Connoly, both very very funny

"this is a dead parrot", and of course the ministry of silly walks, classic stuff. Been a long time since I listened or watched any of Billy's stuff, but something about turds and aeroplanes springs to mind.

If I want to make my daughter laugh all I have to say is "neep"!

They tried to do a copy of Fawlty Towers here called "Amanda's By The Sea"... Didn't work. Basil is too funny!

Idle Hands

I heard Eric Idle, who was crossing the country with his one-man show, only some of which is ex-Python material, give a radio interview. The interviewer said, "Monty Python had a lot of very British references in it that Americans don't really get, yet we've been laughing at it for 30 years--" Before he could finish the question, Idle shot back, "Yeah, and I think it's bloody well time you stopped, don't you?" He went on to say, "It wasn't for you. It was NEVER for you. You weren't supposed to get it. The first time they told me it was going to be shown in America I said, 'Why?' And then the checks came and I didn't ask that any more."

Venezuelan Beaver cheese?
Not on Tuesdays, I'm afraid.
I see. You're sure you have cheese here?
Oh, yes, sir. This is the finest cheese shop in the county, squire.
Is it? And how do you explain that?
It's very clean.
It's certainly uncontaminated by cheese. SHUT THAT BLOODY BAZOUKI UP!
