Great! So businesses can opt to use Gaelic if they want, nothing to stop them.

But let us put that figure in context - 148 million. That is a drop in the oceans that are both the Scottish and the British economies.

Its a useful drop in the ocean which along with the jobs created by BBC Alba and SMO help support Scottish people. Bilingualism has also been shown to help children at school in various academic studies and this is another reason, along with the maintenance of a living language that survives in Scotland to promote the use of Gaelic and invest in it.
