Whilst I'm-not a Gaelic speaker, even in Inglis that reads awkwardly! Surely to make sense it would read better as: for now (or the present) and all eternity?
please tell us you don't want this for a tattoo?

For time and all eternity
Oh no, no tattoo! I guess it does sound awkward, but it is what I have told my children all their lives " I love you for time & all eternity". I was hoping to have it in Gaelic, in black letters on one of my living room walls (just the part "... time and all eternity") over black & white pictures of my children and grandchildren, etc. What I've found is -- gu brath (all eternity) and a thide (of time), but am unsure as to how to link the two together or if I can. I am still very new to the Gaelic language. One website stated there was no word in Gaelic for time. That is why I'm asking for help to figure this out.
Thanks so much for answering J |
