i plan to make it my next tattoo. i wanted something that'll show my scottish side since i already have something to represent my japanese side. it'd mean so much!

My suggestion? If it means 'so much' pay to have a correct translation, by a reputable translation service so you know you are not having the equivalent of Coca-Cola inked onto part of your body.

What Polwarth said.

PAY! Gaidhlig is a minority language and translators could desperately do with the money!

You don't want your body inked with a dodgy translation.

ok, is there any recommended sites to translate it, since i'm having a hard time trying to get that phrase translated. it's meant to represent my family.

You might want to contact some of the more significant Gaelic Colleges to see if they could recommend a translator. For example, a faculty member or a senior student who provides translation services for a fee.
