The teaching of English to Gaelic speaking children who would be belted and made to wear dunces hats was part of its methodology. Violence was used to eradicate Gaelic through the Scottish Education Department.

Give me one example of where a child was belted and/or made to wear a dunces hat in the family home by the Scottish Education Department .
Quote the specific piece of legislation that authorised this home invasion and violence to be carried out .

It contradicts what you claimed earlier about Britain being more responsible than Scotland. The Highlanders had been through decades of starvation and were left in a weakened state.
