Ive been readin the "Scots Wikipedia" (or as I would cry it, the Lallans ain) an ist giey fascinatin hou mony airticles it haes an contreibuters tae! thurs een a poke ae outbiders frae Finland an ither airts thit edit the airticles an contribute till its ongangin development.

So a got till reckonin, hou mony folks here uise the braid Lallans at hame nor at work? Aussi hou mony o yous read or contreibute till the Lallans Wikipedia an whits yur reactions till it?

when im talking that is not when im reading or writing



i read acid house and it took me ages to get to grips with the edinburgh lingo... brilliant book when i did tho
i tried to read 1984 but gave up after a chapter because of the newspeak...

tell me what your trying to say without me having to sit for 10 mins trying to figure out what it is your trying to say

it makes it a lot easier for everybody if we all write in the same language

I remember a sketch from Spitting image with the "two Davids" from the days of the SDP Liberal Alliance. they had two names, two identities and two messages. So to avoid any headaches, they decided to take one part of the name of each leader, and one part of the name of each party. They called it the "David Owen and the Social Democratic party"

Glaswegian is a language I have yet to begin studying
