The beauty and spirit of Gaelic
I really do think that concepts are lost with language. thats why it matters to me when people dismiss Gaelic. It has ways of valuing life and society that fit in with the Laird system far better than English has managed to. It is a language of action, not the self. We need a nation based on action for people rather than consumerist monopolisation.
One where English, Scots, asylumn seekers and others can embrace a community spirit through a living spiritual language full of movem, ent and love for community, rather than a Normanised dialect used to oppression and self aggrandisement. Saxon and Gael need a new unity of spiritual brotherhood, and Gaelic offers this along with land reform and the broadcasting internationally of BBC Radio Nan Gadheal along with the banning if biogotry like that displayed by two disgraceful Highland Councillors recently, so that Gaels can feel free to speak their ancient language without fear of ridicule and harrasment from a minority of English speaking Scots. Note that its rarely English people behind this. They arent the problem for communitarianism and forward rejection of chip shouldering here. Its the Anglophonic brigade of Anglo Scots loud mouths and their nasty little imperialist localism. You see it with Labour in Scotland and you hear it in their ignorant sneer.
Lets forget their sneer and forget them. Truly theirs is the real "dead language" Gaelic is a spiritual treasure of living vitality and international hope for better clan based humanitarian values.
