Hi. Im lookin for the Scottish Gaelic translation for "to secure peace is to prepare for war" its for a tattoo. If any body can help that would be great

Air sgàth an sìth, ullaich son cogadh (for the sake of peace, prepare for war)

Look i have been looking for this traslation for about a month and have gotten five compleatly different translations. This is for a tatto something thats going to be on my body forever so I would really like to get it right. To the people that are tryin to help thanks a bunch and to the Aholes giveing me the wrong translation because they thinks its funny get a life and stop screwing with people that ask you for your help

Why don't you just get the tattoo in a language you can actually speak? I'm not being nasty, I'm just astonished that so many people seem to want to have stuff written on their bodies in a language they don't understand.

I should think a tattoo should be at least useful, what's the gaelic for "blood group"? wullie m
