There aren't that many Gaelic speakers in Scotland to begin with, Scots or English are the predominant languages, there are probably more speakers of Hindi or Arabic living in Scotland these days than there are Gaelic speakers. Most of the Gaelic you will hear spoken in everyday conversation will be found in the Western Isles in the Hebrides in northwest Scotland. These are very remote areas. Some of the folks there don't even have telephones or televisions.

I never said I was Scottish. I do however have distant family that was born and bread in Scotland, so to speek. Not every women is after a Scots' man. Though I have heard that the MALES in Scotland make American Male's look unappealing and down right revulting.
Now, as for Gaelic peeking Scots' man, I was just asking. I don't want to affend anyone and I have been studing the history of your beautiful country. I was looking forward to going there next July. |
