I'm sorry, but like most Scots, I don't speak Gaelic!
There are a couple of members who do - but they post infrequently. Perhaps they will pop in and be able to help.

Out of curiosity, you don't want this for a tattoo, do you? I think it is brave to ask for an internet translation of something in a language you do not speak! Never forget, a tattoo is for life

Every time I read one of these idiotic requests, I'm sorely tempted to thumb open my Gaelic dictionary and have a real go at creating something monumentally stupid...

haha, no not for a tattoo. my brother, myself, my fiancée, and well his "love" are going to vacation in scotland next summer since it's where our family is from. she is already working on a scrapbook with different phrases translated into gaelic, i wanted this to be at the top of the page where we plan on visiting Bannockburn.

You will appreciate that the few Gaelic speakers on here get a bit miffed at the requests for translations of phrases which in many cases do not translate well English into Scots Gaelic.

WHY write things in a scrap book in a language that none of you understand? I simply don't understand it!
