More help with Scots and Scots Gaelic slang
Hi-how is everyone? I haven't been here in a while.
![]() Hello. I'm interested in and am doing research on Scottish slang-Scots and Scottish Gaelic youth, street and college slang for a project I'm working on. ![]() I'd like to know what are Scots and Scottish Gaelic slang terms and expressions for: big shot an important or influential person. besides: "big Yin"? Please let me know and please list as many Scots and Scottish Gaelic slangs for "big shot" as possible. Thank you.

What does this have to to do with the other questions? I have not been here in a long time-I don't recall the last time I was here. What does my past behaviour or whatever the problem is have to do with now? Last edited by Mavericker; 4th June 2008 at 14:22. |

Getting back to topic: I was told "bos" is a Gaelic term and it means "boss, master". I was told "wido" is Scots and it means "big shot". |
