You know what has struck me about the word 'gaelic'

It uses the Old English ' Æ ' so could be spelt like GÆLIC originally which would mean that the word is Germanic in origin. Odd.

Problem is that a bit like the word Celtic it is now a confusion of all sorts of influences. No one know what it means any more.

Gaelic is not spelt "Gaelic" in Gaidhlig!

A Celt is properly defined as a person who speaks a Celtic language. And - Scotland`s Celtic language happens to be - Gaidhlig!

Right I have been looking up this word Celtic. It is made up as well. There never were Celtic people. Never were a race of Celts.

So how can you speak a 'Celtic language.'

Made up people + made up language + made up (reinvented history) = bollax.

What I want ot see is the true history. Not shyte. Because what will happen is you will start talking this kind of shyte then people will realise it is just that. Shyte.

Many people on this island called the UK are now looking at true history. But it only seems to be people like you who want to re-invent it.

Why?

Becomes laughable.

The bigger version of my avatar as it appears on other forums looks better:

The photo is of a sunset taken from the Mull of Kintyre!
