You're absolutely right. However, one of the big problems I had with the Scottish Government's last budget was that there was a bigger allocation of funding for Gaelic than there was for training for NHS staff. That doesn't make sense to me.

I don't think you should blame Gaidhlig for NHS shortages. Look elsewhere. The amount spent on Trident and other worthless defence projects DWARVES either the spending on Gaidhlig or the Scottish Parliament building.
So, for me, it's "yes to NHS and Gaidhlig", and "nukes, no thanks".

Cos Gaelic is the same stuff that Sinn Fein pushes? Whats the agenda? France starting to get involved with Scotland again. Same old Bollax. We need to move on without all these old 'loyalties' - be ourselves and be modern. If that means not speaking Gaelic then so be it. |

Yes, we could do with the old "loyalty" of Scotland to Britain. And then lose our cringe, and help our culture (which there will be more than enough money for, once we stop spending it on useless "defence" projects)
"Cos Gaelic is the same stuff that Sinn Fein pushes? " That's Irish Gaelic. Never heard the Shinners pushing for Scottish Gaelic.
