I don't speak Gaelic - but would caution you from accepting anything that you do not have verified by at least two or three Gaelic speakers. Many people go ahead and have a tattoo done, relying on the version given by strangers over the net. A foolish notion, imho.
There has been publicity recently here about a middle-aged Englishman who proudly wore a huge tattoo in Chinese characters on his chest. He THOUGHT it said one thing and proudly told all and sundry what it meant. He was recently on holiday somewhere and was informed that the tattoo was actually the Chinese characters for 'Coca-Cola'.... Caveat emptor ![]() |
