Help With Gaelic Words

I was trying to read the Disney version of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in Gaelic and ran across "siop," "siopsach," and "siopsaich". They are used numerous times in the story and I can't find them in the dictionary. Anybody know what they mean? Thanks.

OMG, the Disney version in Gaelic??? Is that a children's book? Sorry... I am not teasing you, just being ignorant.

Are you studying Gaidhlig? Maybe some other means of trying to get help would be more successful, like the international foram http://31.freebb.com/gaidhlig/gaidhlig.html or the famous Gaidhlig B list...

Siopsach - Gypsy is a good guess.

Abbreviated Hunchback

Believe it or not I found a children's book version of the story based on the Disney animated film, written in Scottish Gaelic.
