Jokes you may have to be Scottish to understand...

Or at least you need to understand Scottish accents perhaps....
My two Golden Oldies
1. A wee boy goes into a cake shop and points in the window and says "Is that a cake or a meringue?"
"|No, you're right" says the baker "- it's a cake."

2. A field of cows - how do you know which one's on holiday?
- Its the one with the wee calf....

Took a while to get the first one, but they're both terrible...

Aye, but sort of beautifully terrible. As in "aye, right enough the auld yins are the best."

We might have a new Billy Connolly in our midst here. O heavens forfend.

If that's the case, I don't know about the rest of youse, but I'm packing my bags right now. 'Mercaland? Canada? Mibbe Australia or N.Z., I'm thinking. The weather might be better right now over in Oz land, so for an escape place, that's where I'll be going.

Oh, when I was a young lass I carried my pack ..............

Oh dearie me. I think I meant to write "Welcome, Mrs Pink" but I sort of spelled it wrongly.

Hello, and welcome, Mrs Pink. You got any more jokes as "good" as those?

Lol, Mrs Pink. Reminds of one my uncle always used. (Regularly.) Not reserved for those with a Scots accent, but it heelps.

Man looks out the window and sees a teenager stealing the planks from his fence around the front garden. The man opens the window and shouts:
"Oi, ye gadge! dinnae take a-fence..."

I'm not sure if Mrs Pink is still around, but I'll try.

"Is that a cake or a meringue"

sounds like

"is that a cake or am ah wrang?" = "is that a cake or am I wrong?"

And the cow that is on holiday/vacation/spending some free time away from work is the one with a "wee calf" = "week aff" = "week off" i.e a week off work.

Well, was it worth it, the-cube?
