The SFA have just unveiled today the new Scotland strip for the next 2 years. Unfortunatley no sign of Alba yet.

Great.

Interesting to see if this reaches the Scottish Executive and the MSP's presiding over the gaelic language (Scotland) bill.

Oh don't worry it will do. Eventually. Don't expect to see it necessarily this year, but next year perhaps.

My constituency MSP wrote back to me on the issue that as the SFA was a non-government body that they could only have limited effect. They did write to them anyway. However, this position is no longer valid. Why? Well, the Scottish Executive is looking into reforming Scottish football anyway, in various different ways through public consultation, and has also intervened to a limited extent in the sectarianism issue. Both of these facts prove that politicians can pressure them on this.

Personally, I think that some of the reforms that they want of Scottish Football are botched and bureaucratic, but that this is comparatively simple.
