Hello, can anybody tell me what is the exact meaning of "Cor Yn"? Here in Galiza (North of Portugal, West of Spain) we have an important city called Corunha (Corunna) in English and I have read it comes from these words but I´m not sure whit the translation: "narrow point"?

Quote:
xxxxxx choir singing xxxxx (ie yn canu" liiterally "in singing" or "yn eglwys whatever" = "in whatever church". whic is not much good if the required context is a place name, I suppose.

It mentions it should be "goidelic", but I don`t know exactly if it is refered to Irish Galeic, Scots Gaelic or Manx...
There are 333 (that's nice, 3 was a magic number for Celts) results in Google for "Cor Yn" : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=Google+Search, but I can't understand any of it... |
