BUT...
If you want to say Hello Michael you say:
Hallo a Mhicheil pronounce Mh as W
And Hallo a Sheumais Pronounce Sh as H

Shi:mas or when addressing Hi:mas
Michell or when addressing Wichell
Josaff

When adressing to Iosaph ye say Hallo Iosaph. Note that there is no A before the name...

Hallo can be changed to
Leatha math

The translation is needed for a tattoo, so it would be the written. Since posting here I've found these spellings as well.

Joseph = Iosaf
Michael = Micheal (with an accent over the i)

Are these just alternate spellings for the names (ie Megan, Meagan, Meaghan) or is one form more "scottish" than another?

Thanks so much for your help!

"Joseph = Iosaf"

That is not used!

"Joseph"

Iosaph, Eosaph and in Bible only "Ioseph"

"Michael"

Micheal

"James"

Seumas, Seamas, Simidh (Jimmy)
