Exclamation

Hi all!

I'm from London, and i'm learning to speak gaelic, mainly from my great interest in Scottish culture but also because i wanted to learn a second language, and feel gaelic suits me best.

In my view, the way the language has been treated with regards to history is completely unfair. It has been forced into reduction against the people's will, but it's good to see it return, however i feel the increase needs to be a little faster. I would actively encourage people to learn a second language, gaelic more-so for all above reasons.

There must be something we can do.

Frontman.

Kudos to you!
Gaelic is definately a great language to learn. I too have been teaching myself gaelic for the last year or so, and have gone to many gaelic immersion events here in the U.S. & Canada. Judgeing from the popularity of these events, Gaelic is growing...and fast. In fact, the number of speakers (new gaels) in the US and Canada have nearly doubled in the past decade. Perhaps you have heard of Slighe nan Gaidheal? Its a huge Gaelic society in Seattle that holds events like these that bring in new and interested learners every year. Even large universities here such as Bryn Mawer have gaelic courses. I plan on starting a Gaelic club in my university when I go there this fall. So, take heart, Gaelic is coming back faster than you think.
Slainte!

Hi

wow I envy you that you can learn it. I would like so much but I don't know how. In my country there are no lessons, no galeic clubs.
Maybe you know any website where are some lessons?

Mukashi
