Donabie - Gaelic Equivalant

Does anyone know if the surname Donabie would be Donachie in Gaelic ?

It wouldn't be Donachie in Gaelic as "Donachie" itself is an anglicisation of "Donnchaidh", which can also be used as a first name. It is a diminutive of "Donnchadh" (Anglicised as Duncan).
I'm afraid that I don't know what Donabie would be in Gaelic.

I should also have mentioned that Donnchadh can be found in the surname "MacDhonnchaidh" (anglicised as MacDonachie).
Donnchadh means "gaisgeach donn" in Gaelic, "brown-haired champion/hero/warrior" in English.
