Well the reason I asked is because your falsely blaming labors open door policy when actually it's caused by EU freedom of movement laws so it does matter, so what's the answer then?

No, there were three censuses carried out, each by a different organisation and different contractors using different forms approved by different legislation......

Oh, that is just horrible. I am SO glad not to live there any more.

Seriously, I don't understand why you think that a "whopping" big increase in population is a good thing. Enough jobs for all these people? Enough houses?

more people means the need for more services and more houses thus creating more jobs...the big wheel n all that

id happily keep most of the "foreigners" and get rid of half the "natives"

The UK census is held throughout the entire UK every ten years. I've NEVER heard to it referred to as the "England and Wales census". I've NEVER heard of a Scottish census. It is the UK census.

I'm blaming Labour's open-door policy. Under Labour, the UK was one of only three EU nations - the other two being the sparsely-populated Republic of Ireland and Sweden - which allowed free access to workers from 2004 EU accession countries. All the other Member States had limits put in place.

It should come as no surprise then that, in 2009, the UK made up ONE THIRD of the entire EU's population growth.

See my previous post and learn. (And, just in case you still choose to persist, have a read of The Census (Scotland) Order 2010 and note which country it pertains to)
